The great Steve Buscemi has joined the cast of Martin McDonagh’s “Wild Horse Nine” which should be starting this month. Searchlight is producing this one.
Buscemi replaces the originally cast Mark Ruffalo who must surely be headed to Avengers-land now. That’s perfectly fine with me — I’m kind of Ruffalo’ed out after seeing him give similarly over the top performances in “Mickey 17” and “Poor Things.”
It’s always great news when you hear of Steve Buscemi getting cast in a film, and he joins a “Wild Horse Nine” ensemble that already included Sam Rockwell, John Malkovich, and Parker Posey. Plot details are currently being kept lock and key.
McDonagh is coming off ‘Banshees of Inisherin’ which received nine Oscar noms, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor. His other works include “In Bruges,” “Seven Psychopaths” and “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.”
