A quick addition to Puck‘s Warner Bros report. They’re replicating what The InSneider had reported last week.
After a string of questionably greenlit projects, it looks like David Zaslav is leaning to make co-CEO of DC Studios Peter Safran the new head of Warner Bros, replacing Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy.
We’ll have more on this story as it progresses, but Warners is in a lot of trouble, and their upcoming slate of big budget films is starting to look very shaky. It might all come down to whether James Gunn’s “Superman” becomes a success or not.
Also, I’m hearing of real frustration being directed towards Matt Reeves who still hasn’t submitted his script for “The Batman 2.” If Zaslav can somehow get that film going then at least he’d have a hit movie in his hands. Right now, the earliest it could be released is in 2027.
