Leaked ‘Snow White' Scene Plays Like Nightmare Fuel

August 12, 2024 Jordan Ruimy

This past weekend, Disney unveiled the first trailer for their live action “Snow White,” starring Rachel Zegler, and Gal Gadot.

A leaked scene from “Snow White” is making the rounds, and it plays like nightmare fuel. It doesn’t look “live action” at all, there’s tons of CGI being used. This is getting justifiably mocked online.

We also get our first glimpse at the dwarves and … I’m speechless. Nightmare fuel. Dopey looks like Mad Magazine’s Alfred E. Neuman.

Remember that it was Peter Dinklage who criticized Disney for not casting little people as the dwarves, saying it was morally reprehensible, or something to that effect. Disney ended up backtracking and the result is that we are left with these CGI monstrosities.

According to Forbes, Disney spent $209M to produce this upcoming live action “Snow White.” A few months later, The Daily Mail (not the most reliable source, mind you) reported that figure to actually be $330 million.

“Snow White” was written by none other than Greta Gerwig and is being directed by Marc Webb (“500 Days of Summer”). It stars Zegler, Gadot, Andrew Burnap, Ansu Kabia, Dujonna Gift and Martin Klebba.

In 2023, Zegler received pushback for comments in which she called the animated classic “weird” and described Prince Charming as a “stalker.” Last year, she also referred to the upcoming remake as the “PC Snow White.”
