Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman,” starring Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and Al Paicno, will clock in at an astounding 3 hours and 30 minutes in length. According to the the New York Film Festival, where the mob saga will be having its world premiere in late September, the film will have a runtime of 210 minutes. [snapshot below]
As mentioned last month, the 2010s only had two big-studio movies go over the three hour mark: “Avengers: Endgame” and Scorsese’s own “Wolf of Wall Street.” “The Irishman” would be the third movie to join that list. Scorsese has never been one to shy away from making lengthy movies, but “The Irishman” would constitute the longest movie of Scorsese’s career, surpassing “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “Casino,” both of which were 180 minutes.
