First Poster for James Mangold’s ‘Ford v. Ferrari’

June 1, 2019 Jordan Ruimy

You can expect this movie to be at TIFF.

20th Century Fox are no doubt working extra hard for director James Mangold’s new film “Ford v. Ferrari” to make a dent in the Oscar race. This beautiful new poster has a ‘70s Hollywood cinema vibe to it. The studio will be debuting the first trailer for the movie on Sunday Night during Game 2 of the NBA Finals.”

Mangold has an eclectic bunch of films to his name. I was most impressed with “Logan,” a neo-western twist on the comic book movie. Other films of his include “I Walk the Line” “The Wolverine,” “3:10 to Yuma,” “Girl Interrupted,” “Cop Land” and “Knight and Day.”

About “Ford v. Ferrari”:

“The story is set against the backdrop of 1966’s 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France and follows maverick American car designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) who sets out to build a revolutionary car that would allow Ford to challenge Ferrari, with Christian Bale playing fearless British racer Ken Miles—who gets behind the wheel of the new Ford racing vehicle.”

Ford v. Ferrari opens in theaters on November 15th.
