No surprise here, Warner Bros’ “A Minecraft Movie” earned $10.5M on Thursday and is being projected for an $85M opening weekend. I still think the trades are low-balling this one and that it could hit $100M domestically by late Sunday evening. People are vastly underestimating how strong the ‘Minecraft’ brand is.
