For the lead role in DC Studios’ upcoming film “Clayface,” the studio chose rising Welsh actor Tom Rhys Harries, known for his work in the Apple TV series “Suspicion” and Uberto Pasolini’s “The Return” (via Deadline).
Harries secured the part after a highly competitive casting process. He beat out stiff competition from Jack O’Connell (“28 Years Later”), Tom Blyth (‘The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes’), Leo Woodall (“The White Lotus”), and George MacKay (“1917”).
Clayface” will be directed by “Speak No Evil” filmmaker James Watkins, and is the next film for James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Studios to enter production, this coming fall, and scheduled to hit theaters on Sept. 11, 2026.
